Dedicated to having fun while promoting acceptance, community and individuality through art and events.
To describe the Isosceles Krew and its mission one needs to understand a few key concepts. The best way to start to understand these concepts is to make mention of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Mardi Gras, at its core, is a celebration, and by extension a mindset, place, and time. In this place you can look like what you want, you can act like you want, and you can sound like what you want. The mindset suggests freedom, excitement, and a sense of community. The time gives us something to look forward to, something to plan on and gives you a sense that you’re eating a delicious meal (at some point you know the meal will be finished, but from the moment you start to the moment it is over – it’s something to be savored).
If you haven’t already caught on you either need to go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans or attend one of the Isosceles Krews events. Fortunately, the Isosceles Krew hosts regularly. Do you want to have a fucking party, then do that. Do you want to make something, get it. You want to talk about shit, speak up. It’s the environment. Here’s a guarantee – the party is going to suck, the things you make will be shitty, the conversations you have will be empty without the proper environment. In closing there is no better way to accomplish, to create, and to thrive than to actively engage in collaborative efforts with like minded people.
